The 2014 Zumba/Yoga/Surf/Kayak/Sea Turtle Release Retreat in Mexico was a SMASHING success! A beautiful time was had by all!  It is such a magical, special place.  Every single staff member is so nurturing, loving and fun and all the guests who came were incredible, each individual bringing so much beauty to the experience of the group. I feel very lucky and blessed.  Now, on to plan the 2015 retreat!!!

Escape with me next winter to the beautiful, idyllic, waaaaarm Mexican village of Troncones in the breath-taking southern state of Guerrero for a week-long Yoga/Zumba Retreat.  Imagine it:  one full week of relaxing under a sky bursting with innumerable stars by night and sun by day and the constant undersong of the mighty Pacific swelling into your beautiful ears: calming, soothing, bringing you to a profound state of peace.  One full week of impossibly fresh & creative food, sweet company, top-notch Yoga classes that effortlessly teach to all levels, dynamic Zumba classes, amazing massage, exciting guided adventures and a whole. lot. more.

Next year’s dates will be January 31 – February 7, 2015. So, get planning if you would like to come!  Space is very limited (the boutique resort sleeps 22-24 guests) and fills up quickly (this is my fourth year co-hosting a retreat here).

More on what to expect during the week:

This is the ultimate get-away – it’s like summer camp, in paradise, in the dead of winter, for adults. Zumba, Yoga, massage, surfing, kayaking, horseback riding at sunset on the beach, cliff jumping, paddle-boarding, shopping, lounging by the pool, releasing baby sea turtles (omg!), sharing amazing meals and cocktails together, going out (or staying in) dancing to live music at night, enjoying traditional Mexican folk dancing, Brazilian drumming, beach BBQs. Unbelievably fun. Anything can happen in Troncones! It’s a choose-your-own-adventure: do what you want, when you want. As little or as much.

This looks like an absolutely wonderful experience, I have yet to experience a retreat which combines both yoga and zumba (what a workout!) but this looks like it would be both effective and greatly enjoyable! I run a blog which discusses yoga and holistic living in Mexico, and I’ve mentioned Present Moment in prior posts as someplace I would love to visit. I linked the information about this retreat back to my blog – please take a look at http://www.HolisticMexico.org, and follow me on Twitter @HolisticMexico. Thanks Laurie!
